Mosque Finder helps you find mosques and prayer times across the UK. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to make the app and website work, and we never sell your data.
Location (app)
The app asks for your device location only to show mosques nearest to you and to calculate the Qibla direction. Your location is used on your device to sort and orient results — it is not stored on our servers, not linked to your identity, and not shared with anyone. You can decline location access and still browse all mosques (sorted from a default London point).
Information you submit
If you use the website's Submit Prayer Times, Suggest an Edit, Report an Issue, Add a mosque or Request a mosque forms, we store what you provide (e.g. your name, email, role, message and proposed times) so our team can verify and apply the update. We use your email only to follow up about your submission. Providing this information is voluntary.
Prayer-times data
Mosque names, locations and prayer times are gathered from public sources (mosque websites and their prayer-time providers). Times marked "estimated" are calculated and not confirmed by the mosque. We do not collect any analytics, advertising identifiers, or tracking cookies.
Storage & deletion
Submissions are stored in our database (hosted on Supabase). To request access to, or deletion of, anything you've submitted, email us and we'll action it.
